On our farm we grow many types of plants. We grow beautiful flowers to enhance the bucolic vistas of our farm. Most of our lovely fruit and nut trees have only recently been planted, but soon they will provide us with shade as well as fresh produce to eat. Our large vegetable garden provides with every vegetable we could ask for.

We raise our livestock and produce without steroid, hormones, or pesticides. We believe that farming should be done naturally. The earth's most delicious, most healthful foods are made when farmers work in harmony with nature. We strive to improve soil health and crop vitality by natural means. We never use synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, fungicides, or herbicides. Our livestock feed on unsprayed pasture. We do not use any hormones or antibiotics. In addition to grazing, our livestock is fed quality hay and a small amount of locally-milled grain daily.

Our Flowers:
We grow beautiful flowers to enhance the bucolic vistas of our farm. I am partial to day lillies and hostas. I am working on a hosta garden beside the house, but it will be several years before it is complete.

Our Fruit Trees:
Most of our lovely fruit trees have only recently been planted, but soon they will provide us with shade as well as fresh produce to eat. We have a pear tree that has been on the property for decades. We have a June Apple tree that works great for ciders and fried apples. Out back we have a Granny Smith apple tree and have just planted a Gala apple tree. In the orchard, we have just planted two Elberta semi-dwarf peach trees, one Northstar semi-dwarf cherry, and one Montmorency semi-dwarf cherry tree. We also have several dwarf citrus trees we have planted in pots in order to bring them inside in winter. These trees are a Meyer lemon, a Key lime, and a Citura tangerine. Hopefully they will prosper in this area.

Our Nut Trees:
We have only recently planted our nut trees, so it will still be a few years until we get some of their tasty nuts. We have two Pawnee pecan trees, two American filbert trees, two Hall's Hardy almond tree and one Nonpareil almond tree.

Our Vegetable Garden:
This year our vegetable garden was quite a bit bigger than last year (102 ft by 50 ft). Our freezer and pantry are fully stocked with our favorite vegetables for the winter.
